Design, Art Direction and Styling

Taylor Thompson is an Oakland California based designer and Art Director. Founding 5000 in 2017 and launching in 2019, Thompson combines his understanding of formal suiting with workwear and streetwear garments to attract the conversation of elegance and informality.

In 2011, Thompson decided to leave Oakland and attend school in New York City at the age of 18. While in New York, Thompson was influenced by the thriving art and music movements at the time. He then began assisting artist Desi Santiago which would later lead to working for Designer Zaldy Goco. By the age of 20, Taylor landed at Hood By Air as an Assistant Designer. In 2018, Thompson then left New York for Paris to work under
Marine Serre.
